As an ethical and eco-friendly fashion label focused on working towards a more sustainable fashion industry, our impact on the environment is taken into consideration throughout all stages of the design process and business operations. Below are just a few ways in which we are working towards a more sustainable future for fashion.

For every product sold, we will plant a tree! Taking care of our planet has never been more important, so we have committed to donating $1 from every sale to One Tree Planted, a global non-for-profit organisation focused on global reforestation. These trees planted from your purchases will help regulate our climate, clean our air and water, and provide habitat for wildlife.

All of our swimwear is made from ECONYL®, a 100% regenerated Nylon fibre which is made by rescuing waste such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from all over the world. This rescued waste is cleaned and regenerated right back to its original purity. Our swimwear lining fabric is developed using recycled Polyester REPREVE® yarn, which is extruded from single use plastic bottles destined for landfill. The decision to use exclusively recycled fabric in our collections was made to ensure we are doing our part to help clean up oceans, clear landfills, and reduce carbon emissions.

To ensure we are not contributing to the excessive use of plastic currently used in today’s fashion industry, we have taken conscious efforts to ensure all materials used in packaging your purchases are sustainable alternatives to plastic.

As all LEAH ROSATO pieces are made-to-order in Melbourne, Australia, we have avoided any need for excessive packaging for bulk international shipments from offshore factories. Once your order has been made in Melbourne, it is then wrapped in recycled tissue paper, and placed into one of our eco-friendly boxes. Our eco-friendly boxes are made out of recycled nature fibres, and the cardboard used is recyclable, so when you no longer want your LEAH ROSATO box, be sure to put it in your recycling bin and it will be given a second life.

We are proud to say that even the hygiene liners used in our swimwear are plastic free, made from commercially compostable adhesive and wood pulp. Our LEAH ROSATO garment labels are woven with recycled yarn and are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Certified. This means that they have been tested and certified free from harmful chemicals. Our hang tags are also made out of 100% recycled paper.
